Quick Guide
If you're new to poker, hand rankings are the first thing you need to learn. There are ten possible combinations, from weakest to strongest. At hot888, you can practice at play money tables before risking real money — perfect for beginners.
Remember: in Texas Hold'em, you use your two hole cards plus any three of the five community cards to build your best five-card hand. The highest combination wins the pot.

Level Up Your Game
Poker is the only casino game where you play against other players — not the house. That means skill, reads, and discipline genuinely make a difference over the long run. hot888 wants to see you grow.
We've put together the most practical tips for players leveling up their online poker game. These are concepts that Brazil's top players apply every session — and the ones that consistently separate winners from losers.
Put It Into PracticeThe temptation to see the flop with any pair or connected cards is real, but profitable players are selective. Playing 15%–20% of hands pre-flop and always entering with a clear intention is far more effective than playing every hand and hoping to run well.
Acting last is a massive advantage in poker. In position (BTN, CO, HJ), you have more information before making a decision. Use favorable position to widen your range; from UTG, play tighter.
A classic rule: never put more than 5% of your bankroll into a single tournament. At cash tables, sit down with no more than 5% of your total available funds. This ensures a bad run won't knock you out of the game for good.
Losing a big pot is frustrating, but making impulsive decisions right after is the biggest mistake in poker. If you feel yourself tilting, close the table, take a breath, and come back with a clear head. hot888 has session break tools to help you.
The players who improve the most are the ones who review their hands after every session. Export your hand history from hot888, run it through free solvers available online, and pinpoint exactly where you're leaving EV on the table.
Poker has a long and passionate history in Brazil. From casual home games on weekends to live tournaments in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and through the online poker boom that kicked off in the 2000s — Brazilians have always been fierce competitors at the felt. Today, hot888 delivers the infrastructure Brazilian players deserve: a full-featured poker room with a Portuguese-language interface, Pix deposits, and an active community of players from across the country.
What sets poker apart from every other casino game is straightforward: you're not playing against the house. In poker, the house simply takes the rake — a small percentage of each pot — while players compete against each other. That means skill, study, and discipline have a real impact on long-term results. A dedicated player can absolutely achieve consistent profit, and hot888 was built to support that growth.
Texas Hold'em is, by far, the most popular format at hot888 — and in the world. The mechanics are easy to pick up, but take years to fully master: each player receives two private cards (hole cards) and shares five community cards revealed progressively on the flop, turn, and river. The best five-card combination wins the pot.
At hot888, Texas Hold'em is available in every format: ultra-low-stake cash tables (the well-known micros, with blinds as low as R$ 0.02/0.04) all the way up to high-stakes tables for more experienced players. There are also deep-stack MTT tournaments that let you play more creatively over several hours, plus fast-paced Sit & Go events for anyone who wants the thrill of a tournament without the long wait.
Multi-table tournaments (MTTs) are where most Brazilian players dream of making their mark. At hot888, the week's flagship event — the Main Event — features a R$ 100,000.00 guarantee and a R$ 220.00 buy-in. For those who don't want to commit that amount all at once, satellites run throughout the entire week: pay R$ 22.00 for a shot at a Main Event seat, making the competition accessible at any bankroll level.
Beyond the Main Event, hot888 keeps a packed schedule of smaller daily tournaments. The Micro Millions Brasil — with a R$ 5.50 buy-in and a R$ 5,000.00 guarantee — was designed specifically for beginner and intermediate players who want tournament experience without much risk. The Sunday Warm-Up, with a R$ 50,000.00 guarantee, draws more seasoned players every week.
Experienced poker players know that rakeback is a key part of the profit equation. At hot888, the rakeback program is integrated into the platform's VIP Program — the higher your level, the greater the percentage of rake you recover each week. At Bronze level, you already earn 10% back. At Diamond, that climbs to 30% — a highly competitive figure for any international poker room.
Rakeback is credited to your account balance every Monday. Unlike some programs that require point accumulation or manual redemption, hot888 makes it automatic: play, generate rake, get paid back. Simple as that. For volume players — especially those who regularly grind cash tables — that monthly return can add up to something significant.
Game integrity is a legitimate concern for any online poker player, and hot888 takes it seriously. The platform's system continuously monitors gameplay for suspicious patterns — behaviors that may indicate player collusion or the use of automated bots. Accounts flagged for unusual activity are proactively blocked and investigated before any further action is taken.
Hot888's card generator is certified by independent organizations, guaranteeing true randomness in the shuffle and deal. No player — and not the platform itself — has any advance knowledge of which cards will be dealt. Transparency and fairness are non-negotiable pillars of the hot888 poker room.
Deposits and withdrawals at hot888 follow the same process across the entire platform — built with Brazilian players in mind. To deposit, go to your account dashboard, select Pix, generate the QR Code, and scan it through your preferred banking app: Nubank, Itaú, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Caixa, or any other Pix-enabled bank. Your balance is credited instantly — no waiting, no fees.
Cashing out your poker winnings is just as straightforward: enter the amount and the Pix key registered to your account. All players receive processing within 15 minutes. VIP Gold members get priority withdrawals, while Diamond members enjoy instant processing, 24 hours a day. hot888 charges no withdrawal fees at any level.
